How to Book a Session
1) Let's Connect
If we have not yet met, please let me know a little bit about what you are looking for by completing this form.
2) Intake
I'll send you some standard consent and intake forms to complete online in advance of our meeting. The forms generally take 5-10 minutes to fill out.
3) Notes on Technology

You can choose between a video session or phone session. For video, the link for our encrypted online meeting room will be automatically generated and sent prior to session.

Please ensure you have a private place to talk.

Headphones help to reduce feedback noises.

We'll both want to ensure our devices are sufficiently charged.

If you want to use video instead of just audio, please ensure you have a stable platform for your device to sit on.

JaneApp works best on Chrome, so if you will be using a different browser, please let me know and I'll send a link to an alternative encrypted platform we can use.
Policies
Cancellations: I do need to charge for late-cancellations, because I organize my life around upcoming appointments. Cancellations within 24-48 hours of the session will be charged 50% of the fee, and within 24 hours of the session, cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full fee. Emergencies do happen, and if this applies, please let me know as soon as you can.
Confidentiality: What you tell me is entirely confidential, with the exception of three conditions: 1) if I have reason to suspect that you pose a danger to yourself or to someone else, 2) if you inform me of a child or other vulnerable person who is currently at risk of abuse or neglect, or 3) if records are subpoenaed by court order.
Email confidentiality: Since absolute privacy is something we can't really have certainty about these days, please be mindful of what information you share in emails to me -- we can save more sensitive details for when we are meeting in an encrypted space.
A reminder that only those who've booked a "Psychotherapy" can submit receipts for reimbursement. Residents of provinces other than Ontario may want to confirm coverage with their insurance provider. "Mindfulness-Based Consultations" and "Energy Work" are not considered psychotherapy and cannot be claimed as a healthcare expense.
